Introducing Lucent

Radiograph findings
documented before
your next patient.

You review the radiograph. Lucent turns that review into structured findings in proper dental terminology and a signed, dated note — in under two minutes. Defensible documentation, without the write-up.

Lucent radiograph review interface

How Lucent works

Three steps. One signed note.

01

Review the radiograph

Upload your radiograph. Lucent marks regions worth your attention on the image. Your review starts from a structured baseline, not a blank page.

02

Speak once

Dictate your clinical observations. A few seconds per radiograph. Lucent drafts a structured note of the structural observations alongside your dictated findings.

03

Review and sign

Read every line, edit freely, then sign. A complete, dated, signed PDF. Ready to paste into your PMS.

Works with Bitewing, Periapical and Panoramic radiographs.

No integration project

Works with the systems you already run.

Export the radiograph from your imaging software — as a standard image or DICOM — and Lucent takes it from there. Your finished, signed note pastes straight into your practice management system. Nothing for your IT provider to install, no data migration, no switching. Lucent fits your practice on day one.

Run something else? Lucent's notes paste into any system that takes text — which is all of them. The names below are the systems most commonly used in UK practices.

Common questions

Questions we get asked

You are. And that's exactly the point. Liability never transfers. You remain the author and signatory of every note. The structural observations are evidence you can use in forming your clinical judgement, not a second opinion that competes with it.
Yes. Lucent works alongside Carestream, Digora, Planmeca, and Examine Pro for imaging, and integrates into your existing workflow with SOE/Exact, Dentally, R4, and Systems for Dentists. There is no installation, no data migration, and no lock-in — you paste your finished, signed note directly into your PMS.
Yes. Because you reviewed, edited, and signed it. The note is yours. Each structural observation is independently verifiable against the radiograph image. A structured, signed note made at the time of review is exactly the contemporaneous record UK record-keeping guidance asks for.
Yes. The GDC requires that clinical records including radiographic findings are contemporaneous, complete and legible. Lucent produces a structured, dated, signed radiograph note immediately after each review. In a GDC fitness to practise investigation, a complete signed note is significantly more defensible than a retrospective entry or informal shorthand.
There's no migration, no data import, and no training course. You upload a radiograph, dictate, review, and sign. Most clinicians are producing notes in their first session. Book a call and we'll walk you through it personally.
Tell us. We build for the clinicians we work with, not a hypothetical average user. If a feature matters to your workflow, we'll ship it. Mention it on the call and we'll tell you honestly whether it's on the roadmap or how quickly we can get there.
